USE OF CGRP ANTAGONIST IN MEDICAL TREATMENT OF NEUROTIC REDNESS OF SKIN AND COMPOSITION USING SAID ANTAGONIST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and/or dermatosis for treating cutaneous erythema of neurogenic origin, especially rosacea and/or discrete erythema by using an antagonist of peptide derived from calcitonin gene. SOLUTION: Antagonist of calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP) is preferably used in an amount of 0.0001-5 wt.% based on total weight of the composition. The composition is preferably topically applied. For example, CGRP-8-37, or anti-CGRP antibody can be used as the CGRP. Furthermore, antagonist of other neuropeptide and/or inflammation-mediated antagonist is preferably formulated in the above composition. A substance P receptor antagonist is preferably used as the antagonist of other neuropeptide.
