PURPOSE: To easily and properly prevent water from splashing up after collision with an outboard casing by providing a water suppressing board between an outboard engine and the stern plate of a hull, and fixing the board to the hull via the use of the existing portions of the hull and the outboard engine. CONSTITUTION: A screen plate 16 is fitted to the side of an outboard engine 1, and a water suppressing board 20 is fitted to a hull 6. In this state, when the hull 6 is made to advance, water flowing along the lower surface 6a thereof relatively toward a position aft of the hull 6 and an outboard engine, is forcibly made to flow from the stern end of the surface 6a to a position under the plate 16, due to the water pressing part 22 of the board 20. Also, the water is forced to flow down and caused to collide with a splash plate 3a, thereby being released aft. Furthermore, the water collides the lower front 2a of an upper casing 2, and is distributed and splashed right and left, and up and down. In this case, a water splash is generated in a direction from the front 2a to an upper position, but shielded with the plate 16, thereby preventing the occurrence of an upward water splash. |
