<p>PURPOSE: To lower the concn. of the org. matter in discharged gases by charging scrap into a melting furnace kept at a specific temp. and specifying the dust concn. before a dust collector. CONSTITUTION: The scrap 5 is melted by using gaseous oxygen and carbonaceous material in the melting furnace 2 and the waste gases are captured by the dry process dust collector 6. At this time, the temp. in the melting furnace 2 is kept at >=1300 deg.C and the scrap 5 is melted by charging the oxygen and the carbonaceous material, such as lime, into the furnace from a top blowing lance 1. The concn. of the dust before the dust collector 6 is adjusted to 40 to 400g/Nm<3> and the org. matter formed by thermal decomposition of the scrap is completely adsorbed. The dust in the waste gases is decomposed by a high temp. and is adsorbed into the dust iron powder of a high temp.</p> |
