摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a reactor improved to make contribution to an improvement in the reaction efficiency of the gas to be treated by catalysts, the reduction in the size of plant equipment and simplification of plumbing for the desulfurizers and CO reformers of a fuel catalyst systems to be used for a fuel battery power generation plant. CONSTITUTION: This reactor is constituted to execute a reaction treatment by passing the gas to be treated into the reactor 5 packed with the catalysts 8. The inlet and outlet for the gas to be treated are respectively opened at the center of the cross section of the vessel. A gas inlet pipe 6 for the gas to be treated is arranged at the center of the end plate on the front surface side of the vessel and is opened into an inlet plenum 5d so as to pass the gas to be treated fed into the vessel evenly dispersedly to the entire area of the catalyst beds. A gas outlet pipe 7 is passed within the vessel so as to be opened at the center in an outlet plenum 5e through the end plate 5b on the upper surface side of the vessel and the inside of the catalyst packed beds and is led out and installed to the upper surface side of the vessel.
