PURPOSE: To provide an air purifying device in which even if it is used for a long period of time, the reduction in the degree of removal is not caused, and also a high purifying efficiency can be achieved. CONSTITUTION: An air purifying device is provided with an air purifier 1 in which photocatalysts 4 are contained, a light source 2 for applying ultravoilet rays on the photocatalysts 4, and a blower 3 for passing air inside the air purifier 1. A first air purifying device comprises the air purifier 1 in which the surface 6 opposing to the light source 2 is made of an ultraviolet ray transmitting film, and also the air inlet and outlet surfaces 5a, 5b different from the surface 6 opposing to the light source 2 are made ventilatable, and the photocatalyst 4 consists of a film of nonleakage material. A second air purifying device incorporates a light source in the inside of the air purifier. A third air purifying device includes pellets in which photocatalysts are contained, and the penetrating holes of a diameter smaller than the grain diameter of the pellet are formed on the air inlet and outlet surfaces, and also at least one surface out of the air inlet and outlet surfaces is made of an ultraviolet ray transmitting film being placed so as to be opposite to the light source. |
