(Co)polymers (I), contg. at least 1 repeat unit of formula (1) or (2) in amts. of 0.5 - 100 mol. % and opt. units of formula (3) in amts. of 0 - 99.5 mol. %: R<1>, R<3>, R<4> = H or 1 - 6 C alkyl; R<2> = H, 1 - 30 C alkyl or alkoxy, or 6 - 18 C aryl; M = CN, or 1 - 30 C alkoxycarbonyl, (di)alkylaminocarbonyl or alkylcarbonyl (opt. substd. with OH or 1 - 6 C alkoxycarbonyl), or Ph, naphthyl, anthryl, pyridyl or carbazolyl (opt. substd. with halo, OH, silyl, 6 - 18 C aryl, or 1 - 30 C alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, acyloxy or alkylcarbonyl); A<1>, A<2> = 6 - 18 C arylene or 1 - 30 C alkylene (opt. with 1 - 3 in-chain heteroatoms such as O or S, and / or 1 - 2 opt. 1 - 6 C alkyl-substd. phenylene or naphthylene gps.); L<1>, L<2> = photoluminescent residues. Also claimed is: (i) a process for the prodn. of (I) by reacting an OH-functionalised fluorescent dye of formula: L<1>-OH; or L<2>-OH (17); with the corresp. isocyanate (co)polymer (i.e. with -A<1>-NCO and -A<2>-NCO instead of -A<1>-NHCOOL<1> and -A<2>-NHCOOL<2> in units (1) and (2)) at 20 - 250 degrees C in the presence of a catalyst and a diluent; (ii) an electroluminescent system contg. (I) as electroluminescent substance. |
