PURPOSE: To obtain an agricultural sheet composed of a specific filament nonwoven cloth, having dimensional stability, solving the problem of tear breakage of a sheet fixing tool in lateral direction of the sheet caused by the growth of plant, wind, etc., free from inhibitory action on the growth of the plant and useful as an entire-covering heat-insulation sheet, etc. CONSTITUTION: This sheet for agricultural use contains the cloth-constituting fibers oriented in longitudinal direction and has dimensional stability in longitudinal direction of the nonwoven cloth. The fibers contain >=60% fibers having a DT/DL ratio of 80-120% wherein DT and DL are lateral and thickness-direction diameters of the cross-section of the fiber obtained by cutting the filament nonwoven cloth composed of a thermoplastic polymer such as PE in lateral direction. Preferably, the 10% elongation lateral tearing stress of the sheet at a part thrust with a rod of 3mm diameter is larger than the 10% elongation stress in lateral direction, the tensile strength in longitudinal direction is >=1kg/5cm, the air-permeation stress per 4.5m<2> at a wind velocity of 1m/sec is smaller than the lateral tear stress at the part thrust with a rod of 3mm diameter and the 10% elongation recovery in lateral direction is >=95%. |
