PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method of a pad capable of reducing manufacturing man-hour and manufacturing cost even when a notch part is formed on a rupture expected part. CONSTITUTION: A pad 10 to manufacture is used to cover an air bag to be folded, a thin rupture expected part 12 at be broken at the time of expansion of the air bag is arranged, the rupture expected part 12 is furnished with a general part 13 and a notch part 14 thinner than the general part 13 and it is injection molded. A notch forming member 26 capable of forming the notch part 14 is inserted into a molding portion of the rupture expected part 12 immediately after completion of injection of a molding material M into a molding die 23 of the pad 10 at the time of molding in manufacturing the pad 10. Thereafter, the pad is manufactured by cooling it and releasing it from the die 23. |
