PURPOSE: To provide an image pickup camera for image recognition capable of concurrently extracting the one-dimensional data for recognizing whether an inspected object has a defect or not and the two-dimensional data for confirming whether the installation position of the image pickup camera is the normal position or not and to provide an inspecting device using it. CONSTITUTION: A lens unit 2 is arranged to face an inspected object, a half- mirror 3 is arranged on the optical axis of the lens unit 2, and the image information is fed to the first CCD element 4 and the second CCD element 7 respectively. The one-dimensional image information for detecting the presence of a defect of the inspected object is obtained by the first CCD element 4, and the two-dimensional image information on the installation position of an image pickup camera itself is obtained by the second CCD element 7. When the two dimensional image information is fed to a video monitor, the image pickup position of the inspected object can be easily confirmed, and the proper arrangement position of the image pickup camera can be easily confirmed. |
