PURPOSE: To prevent leakage of air in a damper, to improve durability of a seal, and to prevent the occurrence of separation. CONSTITUTION: The seal structure of a damper hatch comprises a hatch 4 to open and close the discharge port 10 of the cylinder part 3 of a damper, conveying chips recovered by utilizing a negative pressure, through the working of a drive means; a packing support cylinder 11 arranged at the outside of the cylinder part 3; a lock stepped part 15 arranged at the periphery of the packing support cylinder 11; a packing 12 fitted in a locking stepped part 15 through a groove 17; a packing press 13 fastening the periphery of the packing 12 above the lock stepped part 15; and a plurality of stages of lips 16 formed on the contact surface of the packing 12 with the hatch 4. Excellent sealing ability is ensured by lips in a plurality of steps even when chips are pinched in one side, further, even when the packing press 13 is slightly slackened the chips are hung in the lock stepped part 15, it is not dropped, and the packing 12 is reliably and stably held for a long period. |
