PURPOSE: To surely set a graphic attribute without having troublesomeness by setting the graphic attribute by means of range designation. CONSTITUTION: A block is stored in a storage means 7, and when an operator writes a stroke by a pen, the handwritten input of the stroke is accepted by a handwritten input accepting means, and an editing attribute is set and stored in the storage means, while one or more strokes form the block. The designation of a range where a second editing attribute is to be set among the strokes belonging to the block where a first editing attribute is set is g accepted from the operator by a range designating means. Then, the block having the new second editing attribute is generated from the strokes existing in the designated range in the block by a block generating means, and is stored in the storage means. Thus, the designation of the range where the second editing attribute is to be set among the strokes belonging to the block where the first editing attribute is set is accepted from the operator. |
