PURPOSE: To enhance the utilizing efficiency of the whole cache memory and the hit rate of a character by considering the characteristics of the vector font data and the bit map data. CONSTITUTION: This processor is provided with a cache part 12 temporarily storing the outline font data read by an outline data read-in part 11 and the bit map data developed and processed by a character processing part 13, and the cache part 12 manages that the value of the deletion control data showing the deletion priority of the outline font data are set larger than the other when the outline font data or the bit map data are registered, and sets the value of the delete control data of the outline font data larger when the outline font data or the bit map data are re-used also to update them. Then, the cache part 12 deletes the data of the smallest deletion management data when the vector font data or the bit map data are registered newly. |
