<p>PURPOSE: To detect a small quantity of red tide plankton by boring light emitting windows and a light receiving window on the end wall of a detector main body, and providing a filter selectively transmitting the fluorescent wavelength, light sources, a filter, and a light receiving element on the light emitting and receiving windows. CONSTITUTION: A detector main body 1 is constituted of an outer tube 2 and an inner tube arranged concentrically and an end wall 4, a light receiving window 8 communicated with the inner tube 3 is provided at the center of the end wall 4, light emitting windows 9 are provided around it, and the light emitting windows 9 are communicated with a circular light emitting chamber 10 formed between the inner and outer tubes 3, 2. A filter 11 is supported in the front of the light receiving window 8, and a light receiving element 12 is provided in the inner tube 3 behind it. A circular recess 13 is formed in the front of the light emitting windows 9, a circular filter 14 is supported in it, and blue light emitting diodes 15 are provided behind the light emitting windows 9 respectively in the light emitting chamber 10. When the light emitted from the diodes 15 and transmitting the filter 14 is radiated to red tide plankton, the plankton emits fluorescence via the exciting light, and it is detected by the light receiving element 12.</p> |
