<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently handle transfer data between computers without deleting a cell by connecting a flow controller to the input port and the output port of a switch node without a flow control function. CONSTITUTION: A data transmission cell that belongs to a connection with flow control arrives at the flow controller 4 from a device 1 provided with the flow control function at the upstream of the flow controller via the switch node without one or more flow control functions. While, a buffer null information transmission cell is transferred from the controller 4 to the device 1 provided with the flow control function located at the upstream of the flow controller. Flow control information such as the null information of a buffer in the controller 4, etc., is transferred by the buffer null information cell. The flow controller 4, when recognizing the fact that congestion occurs in the upstream by congestion experiment information, transfers the information to the device 1 by affecting the content of the congestion experiment information on the. buffer null information transmission cell to transmit it to the upstream direction.</p> |
