SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MINING OF SEQUENTIAL PATTERN AT INSIDEOF LARGE-SCALE DATABESE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the quick mining of a data base by storing a sequence in the data base, providing a transaction divided timewise in the sequence, featuring the transaction by item sets and identifying a large-scale sequence inside the data base. SOLUTION: This system 10 is provided with a client computer 12 and a server computer 14 and a mining kernel 16 accesses the data base 20 and a flat file 22 by a utility 18. The data base 20 is arranged in a transaction time order and is provided with both data of customer IDs and the item sets purchased as a part of the transaction. One item set is provided with one or plural items and the transaction is featured by the item sets 10 and 20. Then, the data base 20 is mined so as to identify the sequence of the transaction divided by the time.
