PURPOSE: To provide a picture processor and a picture processing method, by which the variable power picture of a whole input picture which is integrated and obtained, even if the input picture is divided and variable power-processed, is not distorted. CONSTITUTION: A picture division means 102 divides the input picture into plural rectangular pictures. A picture variable power means 103 executes the variable power process of a desired mutliplication ratio by an appropriate method. Here, the variable power process is executed by using the coordinate value of the input picture. In an output picture buffer 104, the respective rectangular pictures after the variable power process are integrated and the variable power picture of the whole input picture is obtained. |
