PURPOSE: To provide an image processor and a processing method provided with a preview function being superior in operability by automatically executing the optimum processing of shift, power variation and rotation based on an image size and display size in the preview image which is faithful to the image after an editing processing and displaying the preview image while including an original image size value and a reference position mark. CONSTITUTION: The output of a sensor color correcting part 24 is inputted to a preview control part 30 as a read original image and displayed in CRT 31 after applying the optimum processing of shift, variable power and rotation. Then, a screen sequence YMC signal, which is outputted from an image editing part 27 is inputted to a preview control part 30 as an image signal subjected to prescribed image processing in a copying machine main body and converted into RGB luminance information so as to be displayed in CRT 31. Original size information which is detected by an original size detecting part 29 is also inputted in the preview control part 30 so that the range of the original is surely grasped. |
