<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the error which occurs when a polar coordinate system is transformed into an orthogonal coordinate system. CONSTITUTION: The positional information 100 of a target expressed by using a polar coordinate system detected when a sensor scans a prescribed coverage area is obtained. A tracking device is provided with a circuit 2 which transforms the coordinate system of the information 100 into an orthogonal coordinate system of a preset quantization unit in accordance with the predicted position 506 of the flight path of the target calculated based on the positional information of the target detected through the preceding scanning and smooth prediction processing circuit 3 which calculates the predicted position of the target at the next scanning time in accordance with the position information transformed into the orthogonal coordinate system.</p> |
