PURPOSE: To obtain a picture projection device constituted so that the matching of the picture elements of plural liquid crystal panels is facilitated and a smooth picture is projected by apparently increasing the number of picture elements. CONSTITUTION: In the picture projection device, the liquid crystal panels 1 and 2 being image display means are provided with piezoelectric elements Px, Py and Pθ. By controlling an electric signal impressed on the elements Px, Py and Pθthe panels 1 and 2 can be optionally rotated and moved in a plane in parallel. Therefore, the matching of the picture elements of the panels 1 and 2 is facilitated and the adjusting time thereof is shortened almost without increasing a cost. Besides, even when the penels 1 and 2 provided with the small number of picture elements are used, the smooth picture can be projected.
