PURPOSE: To provide a controller for a power converter having high stability and reliability against disturbance by suppressing DC eccentric magnetism occurred in an output transformer and an extreme increase in an exciting current accompanied with the DC eccentric magnetism as a result of changes in load conditions including closing/opening of a load. CONSTITUTION: In a power converter comprising an inverter 2 equipped with an output transformer 5, provided are an automatic control circuit 6 for a control in such a manner that an output voltage or output current of the power converter will follow up the reference value, means for obtaining a magnetic flux command value ϕ* of the transformer from a signal corresponding to the output voltage of the transformer 5, magnetic flux detecting means 9 for detecting a magnetic flux ϕ of the transformer 5, and a correction circuit 10 for outputting a signal corresponding to a deviation signal between a magnetic command value ϕ* and detected magnetic flux ϕ. The controller for the power converter controls the power converter by using the added value of the output of the correction circuit 10 and the output of the automatic control circuit 6. |
