PURPOSE: To provide a controller for a component mounting device which transfers data for accurately and quickly operating the component mounting device when a product is changed. CONSTITUTION: A controller controls a component mounting device consisting of a width adjustment changing unit 31 for changing the width of a carrier rail for carrying a printed circuit board based on width data and an automatic insertion machine 32 for inserting the lead of a component into the hole of the printed circuit board based on a control program. The controller is provided with a width adjustment data recording means 12 for recording the width data, an NC program data recording means 13 for recording the control program, and a control data transmitting means 10b for transmitting the width data, where the width adjustment data corresponding to a production instruction number are recorded to the width adjustment changing unit, and for transmitting control program data recorded to the NC program data recording means to the automatic insertion machine. |
