PURPOSE: To fast recover the faults of the resources including the data bases, files, etc., without concentrating the burden on only a single server in a system where plural servers perform the distributed processing of transactions. CONSTITUTION: The servers 11A to 11E are connected together via a network 13. The slave servers 11D and 11E manage the files 17D and 17E respectively as the resources. The master servers 11A to 11C issue the updating instructions of resources to the servers 11D and 11E in every transaction processing mode and also acquire the updating histories (updated images) of resources through the journals 18A to 18C based on those updating instructions. If the server 11D, for example, has a fault, the server 11D requests the servers 11A to 11C for the latest updating history of its own file 17D after the fault is recovered. Then the server 11D recovers the file 17D based on the latest updating history received from the servers 11A to 11C. |
