<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the specification of a face of a component by a user, flexibly cope with alterations and corrections, and facilitate the confirmation of the machining program by changing the attitude of the whole component model to the surface direction of the face having surface attributes in conformity with the direction of the face to a cutting tool. CONSTITUTION: In a surface attribute granting process, a solid modeler is used to generate a material piece model, from which the component model is generated. Then the surface attributes consisting of the attribute of a cut surface and the attribute of the direction of the face 660 to the cutting tool 650 are given to the face 660 on a computer model. In an attribute arithmetic process, the surface direction of the face 660 having the surface attributes is calculated so as to change the attitude of the whole component model in conformity with the direction of the face 660 to the cutting tool 650. Through this calculation, the attitude of the component model is changed to determine >=1 face 660 on the component model, cutting conditions are calculated, and a tool path is calculated and programmed as a component machining program.</p> |
