<p>PURPOSE: To provide a multifunction switch which can provide a variety of functions and has enhanced reliability. CONSTITUTION: A key top 2 is mounted on a case 5 in such a way capable of rectilinear movement A and rotational movements B, C within a plane parallel to the opposite face 5d of the case 5 to the key top, and two magnets 3, 4 are provided at an appropriate distance to the key top 2. Two magnetism sensing elements 6, 7 are provided on the case 5 in such a way as to be opposed to the two magnets 3, 4 in the neutral positions of the rectilinear movement A and the rotational movements B, C of the key top 2, and a control means 81 is provided which detects the ratio of voltages generated in the magnetism sensing elements 3, 4 by movement of the key top 2 and processes it as a desired operating signal.</p> |
