PURPOSE: To provide a method for fabricating a uniform rare earth magnet having little variation in quality in a short time. CONSTITUTION: Material powder comprising a metal having a melting point of 200 to 700 deg.C such as zinc, lead, tin, aluminum, aluminum alloy and lead-tin alloy added to rare earth magnetic powder is used, and a rare earth magnet is manufactured by using discharge plasma sintering. Thus since heat generated when large current flows through the metal is utilized, uniform heating with rapid heating speed is possible, thereby obtaining a uniform rare earth magnet having little variation. |
