PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device which obtains optimum color reproducibility when an operator requires it. CONSTITUTION: The image forming device which forms an image by attaching toner onto an image carrier 1 comprises: a pattern formation means for forming a test pattern onto the image carrier in order to detect an amount of attached toner, a means for detecting the amount of the toner attached to the surface of the image carrier 1, a process control part 20 for controlling conditions for the image formation by comparing the amount of the attached detection- pattern, detected by the means 15, with a reference amount of attachment, and an auto/manual changeover switch 16 which determines whether the process control part 20 exerts automatic process control or exerts a process control forcibly. |
