METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR TREATING SOLID COMBUSTION RESIDUE OF COMBUSTION FACILITY,PARTICULARLY GARBAGE INCINERATING FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process solid combustion residues drastically reducing the equipment cost enabling to throw away the combustion residues into a dumping-yard or to rework it as construction materials. SOLUTION: An installation for processing the combustion residues of a combustion furnace is equipped with an ash discharger 1. A fall shaft 2, into which the solid combustion residues fall from a furnace grate, is opened into the ash discharger 1. Ash 11 is conveyed into the discharge shaft 7 via an ascending push-out chute 3 by a push-out ram 6 whose operating rate is so adjusted that the ash 11 is piled up in the fall shaft 2 in a formation reaching above the liquid level 9. Fresh water or a chemical is introduced into the discharge shaft 7 from a supply part 8. The ash discharger water charged with fine particles is drained into a hermetically sealed settling tank 17 via a draw-off duct 18. Ash discharger water is fed from the upper region of the settling tank by a pump 20 via a return line 19 to spray nozzles 13 which are arranged in the upper region of the fall shaft 2.
