<p>PURPOSE: To provide a transformer winding which is capable of improving a multicascade-connected transformer in impulse voltage characteristics and reliability as a whole and coping with the enhancement of the transformer in voltage and capacity. CONSTITUTION: A multi-cascade transformer is composed of four transformers 1 to 4 cascade-connected together, where the multi-cascade transformer is separated into three divisions 101 to 103 different from each other in winding structure independent of the unit transformers 1 to 4. In the divisions 101 and 102, a damping/shielding conductor 22 is wound so as to satisfy a formula, N101 >N102 , where N101 denotes the number of conductor turns in the division 101, and N102 is the number of conductor turns in the region 102, and no damping/shielding conductor 22 is wound in the division 103. By this constitution, relations among the series electrostatic capacities of transformer windings in the divisions 101 to 103 are represented by a formula, division 101 > division 102 > division 103, and a voltage is equally allotted to the transformer windings, so that a cascade-connected transformer can be improved in impluse voltage characteristics as a whole.</p> |
