PISTON AND MANUFACTURE OF PISTON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston for a swash plate compressor absorbing a large force and manufactured easily. SOLUTION: A piston 1 is provided with a ball receiver 14 for a rod head 4 of a piston rod 2 for a swash plate compressor. For absorbing especially high pressure, the rod head 4 has a relatively large diameter and thereby, the ball receiver 14 is extended to near the circumferential face of the piston 1. The wall 15 of the piston surrounding the rod head 4 laterally is provided with a circumferential recess forming the continuous hollow surrounding the spherical rod head 4 in the inside direction.
