PURPOSE: To accomplish the uniform adhesion of a solid high polymer electrolyte to a catalyst so as to increase a reaction area in an electrode in a solid high polymer type fuel cell. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for a solid high polymer type fuel cell consists of a process in which a dispersion liquid is obtained by dispersing carbon fine powder 13 carrying a precious metal catalyst in an organic solvent, a process in which solid electrolyte colloid is obtained by mixing the dispersion liquid with solid high polymer electrolyte 5 alcohol solution 14 and a mixture liquid is obtained by adsorbing the colloid on the carbon powder, a process in which an electrode is produced by applying the mixture liquid on one side of a gas diffusion layer, and a process in which the electrode is pressed and integrated on at least one side of a solid high polymer electrolyte film. For the organic solvent, a substance which is provided with a polar group other than a hydroxyl group and is 1-8 in the number of carbons in a carbon chain combined with the polar group, or a substance or a mixture with a dielectric constant of 3-10 is used. |
