PURPOSE: To directly determine the optimum position of a temperature measuring sensor and improve the reliability of the measured value by calculating the difference between the temperature difference between the temperatures before and after a heating sensor is heated and the temperature difference of a local fluid at the sensor arrangement position, and directly adding the temperature difference to the measured value. CONSTITUTION: A heating sensor and a temperature measuring sensor are fixed in a static pure water fluid of constant temperature, and the heating sensor is heated. The differenceΔθw between the temperatureθw of the heating sensor and the representative temperatureθ∞of the fluid in thermal equilibrium and the temperature difference of the local fluid near the surface of the heating sensor, i.e., the change width (temperature difference)θ∞* of the indicated valueθ∞* of the temperature measuring sensor after the heating sensor is heated against the indicated valueθ∞of the temperature measuring sensor when the heating sensor is not heated, are obtained. The differenceΔθw * between the differencesΔθ∞*, i.e., the difference betweenθw andθ∞*, is calculated, and it is added to the measured value of the fluid temperature by the temperature measuring sensor to determine the distance between the temperature measuring sensor and the heating sensor.
