PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new photographically useful group(PUG) emission compound that emits PUG by an extremely effective method and new mechanism. SOLUTION: Photographic material contains a compound that can emit a PUG according to an image on the basis of mechanism that splits homolytically unstable binding, including radical formation under a developing condition. In a desirable example, the compound that can emit PUG is a hydrazine derivative or a 1-aryl-3-pyrazolizinone derivative.
