PURPOSE: To obtain a compact inexpensive time variant filter the processing time of which can be set arbitrary in a stepless state by using a CCD (charge coupled device) delay line as a delay element. CONSTITUTION: A CCD delay line 16 is provided as the delay element to be provided in the preceding stage of a time variant filter 4. When a signal (a) is inputted to an input terminal 1, the signal (a) is delayed and charged by the time set by means of the line 16, but the signal (a) enters a branch line 11 and is inputted to a peak detecting circuit 14 through a differentiation circuit 12 and integration circuit 13. A signal (e) is outputted from the line 16 at the outputting timing of the peak detecting output (d) of the circuit 14. A switched resistance 7 and gated integrator 9 are started to operate by a command from a timing logic circuit 15 based on the output (d) of the circuit 14 and an integrated output (f) is outputted for desired peak analysis.
