PURPOSE: To prevent the operability of the electronic device without loss of safety through remote control of the electronic device even under any operating condition. CONSTITUTION: The device is an electronic device operation device to control a portable disk reproducing device 7 being an electronic device as a controlled device subject to wired remote control and has an antenna function receiving an electromagnetic wave from a radio remote control section (not shown) such as an RF signal, a transmission cord 6 being a transmission line through which a control signal for the wired remote control is sent to the portable disk reproducing device 7, an RF signal reception circuit 1 being a reception section receiving the electromagnetic wave and demodulating it through the transmission cord 1 and a control signal output section 2 providing an output of a control signal for the wired remote control based on the signal processed by the RF signal reception circuit 1.
