摘要 |
<p>PURPOSE: To improve the film forming characteristics of a resin coated carrier and to form a high density uniform output image free from fog and the sticking of a carrier and having high resolution over a long period of time by coating magnetic particles contg. a proper amt. of elemental silicon in parts close to the surfaces with a resin and using the resin coated magnetic particles as a carrier used for a two-component developer. CONSTITUTION: The surfaces of magnetic particles are coated with silicone resin having methyl groups. The ratio (B/A) of the amt. (B) of elemental silicon contained in parts of the magnetic particles close to the surfaces to the amt. (A) of elemental silicon in all the magnetic particles is 0.1-1.0, preferably 0.5-1.0 and the amt. B is 10-600ppm, preferably 50-500ppm. Practically spherical magnetic particles are preferably used as a core material.</p> |
