PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a video image whose time base is advanced at random through the use of a line memory by storing the data of an optional step among lots of steps in a period between a color burst and a video signal, in the case of storing the color composite video signal data to the line memory. SOLUTION: A composite video signal 1 is stored temporarily to a data buffer 700, where noise is eliminated. A synchronizing separator circuit 710 receives the composite video signal from the buffer 700 to provide the separated horizontal synchronizing signal to a signal generating section 770 and a sampling generating section 760 gives the generated sampling signal to the generating section 770. The video signal outputted from the buffer 700 is stored in a line memory section 730 in the unit of lines via an A/D converter section 720. In this case, the memory section 730 receives a write clock whose frequency is a frequency such as a sampling frequency from the signal generating section 770 and stores A/D-converted data. The data corresponding to an optional step among lots of steps that are divisions of a period between a color burst and the video signal for each horizontal synchronizing line are stored based on the write clock. The data are read and D/A-converted at a D/A converter 740 and then the composite video signal is outputted. |
