PURPOSE: To obtain a method for driving a DC brushless motor in motor vehicle in which the armature coil and the components of driving circuit can be protected against burning due to overload operation. CONSTITUTION: Temperature sensors 47, 46 detect the temperature of the armature coil 12 of a DC brushless motor in a motor vehicle and the temperature of a switch circuit 41 for feeding a drive current to the armature coil 12, respectively. When abnormal temperature rise is detected by any one of the temperature sensors 47, 46, control lead angle of the motor 1 is delayed to limit the drive current being fed to the armature coil 12 thus suppressing heating due to the drive current. |
