PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a reflectance of a reflection reducing layer low substantially permanently by providing a transparent insulated substrate, dielectric layers, and an amorphous carbon thin film layer which is provided with diamond type structure and is formed on the layer in the outermost part in the dielectric layers. SOLUTION: A reflection reducing layer 100 is constructed of a transparent insulated substrate 30, an even number of dielectric layers 40 formed on the transparent insulated substrate 30, and an amorphous carbon thin film layer 50 which is provided with diamond type structure and is formed on the dielectric layer 40 in the uppermost part of the dielectric layers 40. In this case, the transparent insulated substrate 30 consists of a polymer material or a glass material. The dielectric layer 40 is constructed of at least one dielectric layer, and each dielectric layer consists of a layer made of CeO2 , Sin2 , or the like. The amorphous carbon thin film layer 50 may well be formed of any amorphous carbon thin film provided with diamond type structure. |
