PURPOSE: To provide a laser oscillator, which can make high-output laser oscillation using a medium of a low small signal gain. CONSTITUTION: A laser oscillator 1 is provided with a vacuum container 2, reflecting mirrors 4 and 5, electrodes 6a and 6b, a power supply device 8 and a suction pump 10. A concave turning to the interior of the container 2 is formed in the mirror 4, a convex turning to the interior of the container 2 is formed on the mirror 5 and a planar part is formed in the center of the convex. CO2 gas is fed in the container 2 via a suction port 12 and a prescribed voltage is applied between the electrodes 6a and 6b by the device 8. By the application of the voltage, a laser medium is excited and light is generated from the excited laser medium. The light in the direction, which coincides with the optical axis of a resonator, out of this light component is reflected a plurality of times in the resonator, the phase of the voltage is made uniform and the light is oscillated through the outside of the mirror 5. |
