PURPOSE: To provide the diversity control system television receiver in which diversity noise is sufficiently eliminated by shifting an output timing of a gate pulse in response to a change in an input level. CONSTITUTION: When an antenna is selected, an input level is detected by an S meter detection section 14, and a timeτfrom the reception of an input signal till being given to a noise canceller circuit 48 via a TV tuner 42 and an audio detection circuit 45 is obtained based on data stored in a memory 11a and a gate pulse is outputted to the noise canceller circuit 48 at a point of time after the lapse of a timeτwhen the antenna is selected.
