PURPOSE: To perform the proper smoothing processing without troublesome operation by providing a means which sets whether a picture smoothing means should function or not for each of facsimile data or print data. CONSTITUTION: When FAX data is sent from a FAX part 72 through a gate array 76, a CPU 90 of a printer part 74 refers to set contents for FAX data print stored in a RAM 94 to discriminate whether the smoothing function should be turned on or not. When PC data from an outside personal computer 98 is inputted to an interface part 96, the CPU refers to set contents for PC data print stored in the RAM 94 to discriminate whether the smoothing function should be turned on or not. When the smoothing function should be turned on, FAX data or PC data is transferred to smoothing circuits 97b and 97a and is subjected to smoothing processing and is transferred to a recording part 26. |
