PURPOSE: To provide a switch adapter arranged between a plug 3 fitted to the power cord of a home electric apparatus and the commercial power source such as a wall receptacle 2 and capable of tuning the remote control on or off. CONSTITUTION: A remote control adapter 1 is provided with a plug section 1a adaptable to a wall receptacle 2 and a receptacle section 1b adaptable to the cord plug of a home electric apparatus, and the plug section 1a and the receptacle section 1b are electrically connected via a switching control circuit 1d. The signal of a remote control transmitter 4 is received by an on-operation infrared signal section 1c, on and off signals are discriminated, and the switching control circuit 1d is operated. |
