PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To erase a phase noise without generating any error explosion at an FEC output by rapidly recovering carrier timing group slip. SOLUTION: Continuous data are inputted to a parser 12 and separated into 1st and 2nd data streams Wj and Zj to be inputted to a precoder 14 together with uncoded bits Uj to be outputted through a route 16 to a mapper 26. The precoder 14 precodes the streams Wj and Zj so as to apply rotationally invariant data when they are encoded by an encoder, mapped, decoded by a receiver and post-coded, and precoded data Xj and Yj are independently encoded through additional feedback matrixes 18 and 20 by binary convolution encoders 22 and 24. At the mapper 26, these data are coupled with the bits Uj so as to select any QAM constellation point to be transmitted. At such a time, the uncoded or parallel edge information Uj is made rotationally invariant as well. |
