PURPOSE: To prevent the dropping and impregnating of water in a room even in the state of heavy rain and fast wind speed such as a typhoon and to obtain a comfortable space by providing a vertical wall covering the lower part of the outer box side face at the outer box front plate fixed to the front surface of the outer box containing an inner unit, and providing a flange continued to the front surface. CONSTITUTION: An outer box 2 for containing inner units such as a compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator is formed of side plates 4, a ceiling plate 5 and engaging parts 6. The outer box front plate 9 is engaged with the parts 6, and provided with a vertical wall 9A covering the lower part of the plate 4 of the box 2. A flange 15 is provided at the front surface of the plate 9, and continuously connected to the wall 9A covering the lower surface of the box 2 and the lower part of the plate 4. Thus, the flange 15 becomes a weir even in the state of heavy rain and fast wind speed (wind pressure) such as a typhoon to prevent the dropping and impregnating of water into the room and to obtain a comfortable space. |
