PURPOSE: To provide a method of producing a parallel twin crystal containing type flake core/shell emulsion with a high S/N ratio, and heighten the sensitivity of a color diffusion transfer photographic film by using this emulsion, while lowering minimum density. CONSTITUTION: In a method of producing a parallel twin crystal containing type flake core/shell emulsion in which the thickness of 75%-100% of the total projected area of all grains is 0.03-1.0μm and the aspect ratio is 2-50 through nucleation, curing and growth processes, 30-100wt.% of a dispersion medium in a part or the whole of grain forming process is formed of gelatine with such a characteristic that the relation between the ratio (%) of the chemically modified number of -NH2 radicals in gelatin and the methionine content of gelatin is in an a1 area.
