Dual chamber cistern for WC

The improved cistern reduces the use of drinking quality water for toilet flushing by collecting used water, eg. from washing machines, in one chamber of the cistern. Clean water is collected in a smaller chamber. The flushing sequence has a pre-flush with the reclaimed water followed by a smaller volume flush with clean water. The clean water flush is initiated when the used water level drops to a predetermined point. In the absence of sufficient reclaimed water an automatic valve tops up the reclaimed water chamber with clean water. The two chambers are positioned next to each other or over each other.
