The closure mechanism blocks one or more connecting paths (13a,13b) between a measurement volume and measurement elements (11a, 11b) where the closure mechanism has a closure device (20) which may be set to a release or blocking position. The cylindrical closure device (20) is located in a housing (40) between the measurement volume and the measurement elements (11a,11b), and is free to rotate about a central axis (21). The closure device (20) has diametric passages (22a,22b) which coincide with openings to the measurement volume and the measurement elements (41a,41b).
