The machining installation comprises a feed unit (10) and/or the rotor (26) which are adjustable in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L) designated the X-direction. The feed unit and/or the rotor are also adjustable transversely to the X-direction in the Y-direction. The rotor alone may be adjusted in the X-direction independent from the feed unit. The feed unit is adjusted in the Y-direction independent from the rotor.
