The multipurpose wheeled construction vehicle has an axle-link pivot or centre pivot and a front loading device with a rear mounted excavating unit (4). The front loading device forms a swing loading device that can be rotated about a perpendicular axis, and out of a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The rear axle is permanently connected directly to the rear mounted excavator, or to a rear subframe which bears the excavator. The front and rear subframes (22,32) are connected respectively to the front and rear axles (3,5) to form a unit. with a longitudinal centre axis. The unit has self aligning bearings on both sides so that the two subframes can be locked w.r.t each other at any desired swivel position.
