Measurement of emissions from biofilter(s)

To register the emission levels from biofilters, such as in composting processes, a pipe carrying an air flow is placed on a biofilter layer near the outer surface to carry off separate and/or mixed samples. At least one sensor is located at the outlet end of the pipe. Also claimed is an operation where the emissions are registered and measured by a gas mixt. sensor to determine the concn. of smells and equivalent emissions, in an on-line action.
